Jacklyn Wagner and Peter Derrett are two of Lismore’s most established photographers, but this is the first time they have collaborated on a project.
Their individual photographic styles and professional backgrounds may be totally different, however when it comes to understanding and belief in the power of photography they are on the same page. Namely – they are interested in the power of photography to document the human condition.
This exhibition will feature a series of portraits of local subjects, but largely unknown by the photographers.
The process of making contact, interviewing and photographing individuals has been as much an adventure and challenge for the photographers, as hopefully a great experience and privilege for the subject – and indeed audiences.
