For our first NOISY HOUR of 2026, we have Northern Rivers-based Aureolin Ya Ya!
Aureolin YaYa will be presenting Treble. A three-part improvised composition, combining non-traditional structures and artistic expression with analog and digital instrumentation to immerse the audience in a hypnotic, atmospheric and sometimes rhythmic, sensory experience. Providing the backdrop for this performance is British artist Isaac Julienβs video, Western Union: small boats (The Leopard).
Aureolin YaYa is Nick Pike, James Hopkinson, and Tamara Mendels, a sonic art project exploring deeply textured electronics and experimental, avant-garde-influenced sounds.
This program is free, no bookings required.
NOISY HOUR is part of our accessibility program, intending to encourage audiences to experience the exhibitions in unexpected ways, to move, make sounds and express themselves freely in the gallery during the hour. Each exhibition round, we invite a creative practitioner to respond to our current exhibitions. NOISY HOUR takes place within the exhibition spaces.
Accessibility: The Gallery is wheelchair accessible. If you would like to discuss your access requirements, please email linsey.gosper@lismore.nsw.gov.au or call 02 6627 4606.
