An exhibition by Heather Matthew, I Was Here celebrates the 'tagging' of graffiti artists and the tradition of proclaiming existence at a geographical place in time. It consists of artworks created on a daily basis in concertina artist books which are further up-scaled onto square canvases referencing the daily collages. It demonstrates the idea of the artist’s daily practice as a circular activity both influencing and being influenced by larger art works and artist books.
