In conversation: Sarah Ujmaia

Please join us in conversation with Naarm/Melbourne-based artist Sarah Ujmaia about her solo exhibition Marmoreum (28°48’34.4”S 153°16’45.6”E). 

Taking place directly before our exhibition opening, Sarah will be in conversation with Lismore Regional Gallery curator, Ineke Dane.

About Sarah Ujmaia 
Sarah is an artist and researcher based in Melbourne (Naarm), Australia. Her practice is largely informed by the wide-reaching impacts of forced displacement and cultural re-writing related to the diasporic experience. Applying translational processes, she regenerates motifs, images and linguistic structures in her material-led approach to image and object making.
