Brett Adlington will launch a new book about the Australian artist Nutter Buzacott written by the artistβs daughter, Gallery volunteer Lee Dunn. The book builds upon a retrospective exhibition The Art of Nutter Buzacott held at the Lismore Regional Gallery in 2016.
Nutter Buzacott was a mid-20th Century artist who observed the everyday lives of people and the landscape he and they inhabited. He worked in Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns and the Northern Rivers. This timely survey of his work is woven into an account of his life and the social and political context within which he lived.
