Step into the imaginative world of diorama making in this engaging, hands-on workshop. Participants will explore the art of creating three-dimensional miniature scenes that tell a story, capture a moment, or represent a real or imagined environment. Using a variety of mixed-media materials including paint, cardboard, fabric, printed images, and found objects, they will design and construct their own unique diorama based on a theme of their choice.
Participants will be introduced to the creative process through a range of inspiring diorama examples. Guided step-by-step by facilitator Lisa Towse, they will begin with brainstorming and planning activities to develop their ideas before learning techniques for constructing and decorating their scenes. Throughout the workshop, they will be encouraged to use their imagination, experiment with different materials, and express their own ideas and interests through art. By the end of the session, each participant will have created a personalised diorama to take home and display.
For ages 6 - 12 years. Tickets are $10, essential and limited. Book now.
