Join Chilean/Argentine artist Javiera Gart for an expressive painting workshop and colour study.
Participants are guided to create their own colour palette mood board based on emotion and intuition. They will then use their palette to develop a small painting based on personal expression. This workshop is accessible and more about exploration and feeling than technique.

About Javiera Gart
Javiera is a Chilean/Argentinian figurative painter based in the Northern Rivers. Much of her early life was spent in Buenos Aires, where she began her artistic journey as a self-taught artist. Later, while living in Mexico, she discovered muralism, the first discipline to significantly shape her creative path. Over time, however, she found a more intimate and technically refined approach through studio painting and smaller-scale works.
Having lived and travelled extensively across different countries, Javiera continues to develop her practice through encounters with local cultures, everyday experiences, and shifting environments. Her work is informed by the female figure, personal narratives, and the processes of self-discovery, while technically remaining strongly focused on the study of colour.
Her artistic practice spans Australia, Europe, North America, Asia, and South America, where she has participated in exhibitions and artist residencies and received multiple awards. These diverse cultural contexts continue to shape and enrich her evolving visual language.
