AlphAmaze is a multi-dimensional and inter-disciplinary exploration into the mysteries and origins of the letters of the alphabet. Ten years of alphabet research is woven into these sculptures. Imprinted within our DNA, the letters have an organised geometry and sacred structural system. Three cycles of nine letters each, compose the alphabet. Cycle one represents the conceptual archetypal seed idea, one-dimensional. Cycle two the inner mental growth of the idea, two-dimensional; and cycle three represents the outer physical manifestation, three-dimensional. The path of the three-ringed labyrinth, squaring the circle and play, in recycled high tensile grid wire, bicycle rims and electrical wire, comprise this exhibition’s journey.
