Expressions of Interest - Public Artwork Lismore City Council is calling for Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified artists to undertake a public art project (including a community consultative process) as part of the Woodlark Street Streetscape Enhancement Project.

Calling for nominations - Public Art Reference Group Lismore City Council is committed to hearing what you have to say on important issues and Council services, programs and initiatives. Community consultation is informed communication between Lismore City Council and its community prior to Council making a decision. Reference Groups are one way that you can get involved in decision-making.
Council is looking to establish a Public Art Reference Group (PARG) to advise on public art policy matters. Expressions of Interest are invited from people, passionate about public art in the Lismore Local Government Area, to assist Council in developing public art projects for the city. The Public Art Reference Group will meet quarterly and whenever else is appropriate.
Nomination for membership of the abovementioned group is invited from an Arts industry representative and an Aboriginal Artist or Aboriginal community member.

Applications will be received up until 4.00pm, Wednesday April 7, 2010. Applications received after this time will not be accepted.
Revised Public Art Policy Lismore City Council has revised its Public Art Policy and asks for your comments and feedback. Public art is recognised by communities as being important to their sense of place, identity, wellbeing and belonging.

The Public Art Policy is also available at our Corporate Centre in Goonellabah and our CBD Office in Magellan Street. If you are unable to access the Policy at any of these locations, please contact our Customer Contact Centre on 1300 87 83 87 and we will arrange for you to receive the document.
The draft Public Art Procedure which supports the Policy will also be made available for information during this period of public exhibition.
The exhibition period is Thursday, March 11 until Wednesday, April 7, 2010. Please address your submission to the General Manager.
