Exhibition Friday 18 August to 30 September 2006

Chrysalis profiles the work of 20 artists from the Northern Rivers region of NSW. The artists, Cal Mackinnon, Avital Sheffer, Christine Willcocks, Daniel Brinsmead, John Dahlsen, Lucille Martin, Lae Oldmeadow, James Guppy, Paul Scott, Virginia Jones, Daniel Clemmett, Aine, Garth Lena, Karlee Rawkins, Karla Dickens, Lyndall Adams, Melissa Hirsch, Ishta Heidi Wilson, Jasper Vader, and Frances Bell Parker are at various stages of their careers. Some are nascent on the national scene, others are well established. They have in common their selection by a curatorial panel, which has been run by the Visual Arts Network (VAN), and their continual commitment to the pursuit of their art practice and its expansion into new directions.
